Kitchens Bathrooms and Bedrooms National Training Group
Vision
"The NTG will recognise and align the skills and development needs of the industry to improve training opportunities and encourage individuals to choose KBB as a career"
Purpose
The purpose of the Training Group is to co-ordinate the interests and support available with the KBB sector with manufacturers, contractors, retailers and training bodies to harness the skills and support that each individual body provides.
Individually within the Kitchen, Bathroom and Bedroom sector there are organisations and bodies that may meet in part, or in full, the training and skills needs of the sector but collectively the sector and its support is stronger.
Established in June 2004 the KBB NTG was formed as a focus for the industry.
The Training Group operates based on a Management Committee that is serviced and supported by CEO Renee Mascari.
The Objectives of the KBB NTG are to:
- Develop and maintain a career path
- Promote the industry as a vibrant career opportunity
- Integrate information on careers in the sector into the educational curriculum
- Set performance standards for the industry
- In consultation with the end user develop and implement an appropriate suite of training
- Promote qualified employees to consumers
- Bring all relevant industry partners together to achieve the aim and objectives
